Golf des Vigiers

About the Course

Golf in Medoc, Bordeaux with Greens and Grapes

Château des Vigiers forms the centre-piece of a spectacular 27-hole golf course. The course opened in 1992 and was designed by Donald Steel, who is considered one of the very best “natural” golf course architects. Arranged in three 9-hole loops, giving three 18-hole combinations, this golf course was rated in the top ten courses in South West France.

Golf du Medoc

When asked by Golf World to name his favourite hole from his long career, Donald Steel chose the eighteenth at Château des Vigiers, with its dog-leg over a ridge for the second shot over the lake on to the green; finishing in front of the Château. It was subsequently described in Golf World under the heading “Vintage Finale”.
